Sacrebleu is a cinematic odyssey blending music, poetry, and visual artistry to spark environmental consciousness.

Structured as 9 standalone yet interconnected chapters.

Each episode carries its tone and environmental message—giving the project a uniquely episodic character. This format builds momentum with every release, creating opportunities for festival runs, streaming deals, and collaborations with environmental foundations and eco-conscious brands, allowing the impact to grow far beyond a single premiere.

A child born from the ocean, with a plastic bag over his head.

A haunting symbol of global pollution and our collective blindness. The music of MTRSS guides his journey through surreal and emotionally charged landscapes, both internal and external, as he grapples with plastic waste, climate anxiety, human disconnection, and the transformative power of reconnecting with nature.

With a multinational multi-talented crew from:

USA, France, Argentina, Colombia, Italy, Ukraine, Mexico, Moldova and Poland. We employ artistic depth to engage with sensitive issues, forging a profound connection between our main character and the audience. Our goal is to craft an aesthetically pleasing, emotionally resonant work that reaches a broad audience and inspires kids and adult alike to take action.

Where are we now?

Currently in our second funding phase, about to roll-out the social media campaign.

Our first chapter has already gathered 8 best film and best environment awards and is awaiting potential selection from over 100 more film festivals around the globe.

We are programmed at the 2025 United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC), where Sacrebleu will be part of the conversation around ocean protection and storytelling as a tool for change.

Engaged with the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution, and advocating to support the Global Treaty to End Plastic Pollution.

The Origin

Born from the mind of Russian music legend and eco-activist Ilya Lagutenko, Sacrebleu emerges after decades of global success with his band Mumiy Troll and contributions to major film soundtracks. Originally conceived as an instrumental album inspired by ocean conservation, the project reflects Ilya’s deep-rooted commitment to the planet. As a longtime cultural ambassador, he has consistently used his art to spotlight environmental issues, collaborating with organizations like WWF, IFAW, and ASOC. Through his unique fusion of music, storytelling, and activism, Ilya has become a powerful voice for ocean preservation.

In 2024, he approached Clément Oberto to transform the album into a cinematic experience. United by their commitment to the environment, they crafted Sacrebleu—a poetic, visually rich journey following PB, a creature born from the ocean and wrapped in plastic. The first chapter is complete. Now, the team seeks funding to bring the full story to life and spark global change.
